Terms of Sale

  1. There are no refunds of the licensing fees for The Software.
  2. The purchase price, and any shipping and handling, are subject to:
    • HST for residents of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland;
    • GST for residents of other provinces; and
    • PST for residents of Ontario.

Software Licensing Agreement

In consideration of the payment of the license fee, D. R. Gobeil & Associates Ltd. grants a non-exclusive right to use The Canadian Retirement Planner’s Software to the licensee of this agreement.

A license to use the software for demonstration purposes for 30 days allows the evaluator to review 2 sample plans included with the software and make modifications to the 2 plans.

A license for one year from the date of purchase includes the preparation of retirement plans for 1 or 10 clients. Each retirement plan for a client can include any number of variations of the assumptions and each such plan can be saved, printed and otherwise processed.

As long as the planner has an annual license for 10 plans, a planner can purchase additional retirement plans for clients and the license for the additional retirement plans does not expire.

The licensee may install the Software on a networked or stand-alone computer. However, the Software can only be used by the licensee or an assistant to the licensee. A planner is a user of the Software who offers retirement planning services to clients, and is identified to the client as the preparer of the plan. An assistant is an individual who enters data into the Software or assists in the wordprocessing of a plan, but is not a planner and does not meet with clients.

The licensee agrees not to distribute copies of the Software to others, nor permit other planners to use the Software provided to the licensee. The licensee may not create derivative works of the Software. D. R. Gobeil & Associates Ltd. retains title and ownership of all copies of the Software, and all rights not expressly granted. This license is governed by the Laws of the Province of Ontario.

Limited Warranty

Gobeil & Associates warrants that the compact disk (CD) on which the Software is distributed is free from defects and will replace the CD, if defective, at no charge.

Software is inherently complex and may not be completely free of errors. Except for the warranty on the CD, D. R. Gobeil & Associates Ltd. makes no warranty or representation, either expressed or implied, with respect to the Software or documentation, including the results of their use.
