Features
The Workbook
The workbook of 100 pages describes the concepts of:
- basic mathematical functions;
- time value of money with single sums and annuities,
- nominal and effective rates of return;
- capital gains tax;
- accumulation planning with real, after-tax rates of return;
- bond valuation;
- capital budgeting;
- basic statistical functions; and
- measurement of investment risk.
Financial Calculators
The workbook and questions include the keystrokes for the Hewlett-Packard, models HP10B and HP10BII. Of the financial calculators on the market, the HP10BII is the easiest to use and it only costs about $50. The HP10B has been discontinued. We advise you to acquire an HP10B or HP10BII.
The Software
As you study each concept, you answer the questions on your computer. The Software marks your response and displays the keystrokes required to solve the problem. You cannot print the questions or solutions.
The Software requires a PC running Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7.
