Current Developments in Personal Financial Planning

Current Developments in Personal Financial Planning is a series of continuing education courses for Certified Financial Planners, Chartered Accountants, life agents and other financial services professionals. These courses are included with the purchase price of The Personal Financial Planner’s Manual and the Update Service.

Completion of each course requires reading the quarterly update to The Manual and correctly answering 70% or more of the questions on a multiple-choice examination. The exams can be written in your home or office. We recommend 5 hours of continuing education credits for each version.

The following versions of the Course are available:

Version 55 - Corporations, Taxation of Property Income, RRSPs and RRIFs, Pension Adjustments, Locked-in Retirement Accounts and Transfers, and Income Tax Planning during Retirement.

Version 54 - Tax Free Savings Accounts, Registered Education Savings Plans and Forms of Ownership.

Version 53 - Home Ownership, Planning for the Disabled, the Federal Budget of February 26, 2008 and Taxation of Capital Property.

Version 52 - Personal Tax Rates and Credits, Deductions from Business and Property Income and Risk of Death

As a sample of the course material, you can download several pages of the module on the Tax Free Savings Accounts.
