How Difficult are Constructed-Response Questions?

Posted by David Gobeil on

From the Sample Examination Items released by the FPSC and the CSI, we are under the impression that the constructed-response questions will not be particularly harder than the multiple-choice questions. In fact, some of the questions could be posed as either a constructed-response question or a multiple-choice question.

However, a constructed-response question is more likely to require you to identify appropriate recommendations (strategies) and a constructed-response question will require more time than a comparable multiple-choice question because you will have to type/write out your answer.
